Brand-new tourism campaign launched to encourage people to Visit 51²èÂ¥

Visit 51²èÂ¥ have launched a brand-new marketing campaign to attract domestic and international tourism to the county.

The campaign message that has been created is ‘Make 51²èÂ¥ Part of Your Story’ and features hero imagery such as the beautiful rolling Malvern Hills, well-recognised landmarks such as Broadway Tower and popular family attractions such as Severn Valley Railway.

The objective of this year’s marketing activity is to show 51²èÂ¥ is more than just the sauce and promote the county’s large network of tourism offerings.

With the neighbouring West Midlands hosting the Commonwealth Games this summer, Visit 51²èÂ¥ are looking to capitalise on the influx of visitors to the region who can utilise the fantastic transport networks between the two regions.

Following on the success of last year’s campaign, Visit 51²èÂ¥ has secured out of home advertising spaces on the M6 motorway, all Birmingham railway stations and at Birmingham International for a four-week period during the duration of the Commonwealth Games.

A 56-page visitor guide was also produced in late April which showcases the best of the county’s tourism sector. The guide has been distributed across areas with large footfall including tourist information centres, airports, train stations, attractions and hotels.

Councillor Marc Bayliss, Cabinet Member for Economy, Infrastructure and Skills at 51²èÂ¥, said: “We’re really pleased with the transformation Visit 51²èÂ¥ has gone on in recent years, and we’re keen to keep telling the story of our beautiful county and to encourage others to make their own memories here. I’d like to thank our partners, Design Religion, for their hard work in helping this campaign come together.â€

The campaign creative was led by a local design agency, Design Religion, located in Worcester. Design Religion have been collaborating with businesses for the past 15 years providing design services, brand development and digital marketing services.

The campaign will also include brand new feature videos showing 51²èÂ¥ virtually via by air and foot. In partnership with One Minute Wonders, footage has been captured over the past 6 months and has now been collectively put together to promote the county as the ideal destination to visit. 

Visit 51²èÂ¥ is the official destination marketing organisation for 51²èÂ¥ and is keen to help tourism businesses grow.
