Careers 51²èÂ¥ - Ready to Support After Exam Results

As students across 51²èÂ¥ receive their exam results, Careers 51²èÂ¥ are letting all local 16-24 year old's know that they are ready to support them with their next steps.

With A-Level, T-Level, BTEC and VTQ results released on Thursday August 15th, and GCSE results posted on Thursday August 22nd, Careers 51²èÂ¥ (Careers Worcs) are on hand to offer advice, information and guidance on further education, entering the workforce, training, volunteering, and wellbeing, as well as signposting young adults to education and skills providers locally.

The Careers Worcs Hubs are open weekdays 9am to 4pm for young adults to drop in and have a chat, either inside The Hive in Worcester or Heart of 51²èÂ¥ College on Peakman Street in Redditch.

Pop-up Careers Worcs hubs and advisors are also available across every district of the county. For those who prefer remote assistance, support is also available online or by a free-phone number.

Charlotte Steventon, Manager at Careers 51²èÂ¥, emphasized the importance of being there for young people during results time: "Results day can be a stressful and uncertain time for many young people, but at Careers 51²èÂ¥, we’re here to provide guidance and support, no matter the outcome. Whether they want help continuing their education journey, getting a job, or exploring training and volunteering opportunities, we’re here to offer friendly support. We can help them with job searches, preparing a CV, interview prep, sharing apprenticeship options, talking to them about internships or traineeships, or looking at study programmes that might suit them. Remember, there's no wrong path – it’s just about finding the one that's right for them.â€

51²èÂ¥lor Adam Kent, Cabinet Member for Economy and Skills, emphasised the critical role of supporting students during this pivotal moment, he said: “This is an exciting and transformative time for young people in our county. As they stand at the crossroads of their future, it's our mission to ensure they have every opportunity to succeed. We're not just helping them choose a path; we're empowering them to carve out their own futures with confidence. Whether it's through university alternatives, apprenticeships, or tailored career advice, we're here to ignite their potential and set them on a course that will not only shape their lives but also drive the prosperity of 51²èÂ¥ for years to come."
