The shortlist for the Enterprising 51²èÂ¥ Awards 2023 has been unveiled after the successful completion of judging.
The awards shine a spotlight on successful start-up and early-stage businesses that have been supported through the Enterprising 51²èÂ¥ Programme; an initiative delivered by 51²èÂ¥, and those that have supported entrepreneurs across the county over the last two years.
A record number of businesses and individuals have entered this year’s awards.
Susan Crow, Strategic Programme Manager – Economy at 51²èÂ¥, said: “It was enormously encouraging to see such a high calibre of entries for the awards. The awards are a celebration of the extraordinary entrepreneurial talent in the region, so was great to have a record number of entries. Good luck to every business and individual shortlisted.â€
The shortlisted businesses for each category are:
• Best Growth Business: Optimec Metrology Ltd, COHO & Apogee Associates Ltd
• Best Start-Up Business: Trainer Armour Ltd, Smile Box & Refurbished Turbine Components Ltd
• Champion for Entrepreneurs: BizSmart, Rock Solid Consulting Ltd & Real World Consultancy Ltd
• Innovative Business Award: Umami Chef, The HR Hero & Mind Safe
• Sustainability Award: Carbon Forest Products Ltd, Grubbs Up Ltd & Calathea Supply Chain Ltd
There will also be a Young Entrepreneur Award as part of this celebration.
Winners will be revealed at an exclusive awards ceremony on 27 April 2023 at The Wood Norton Hotel, in Evesham.
Enterprising 51²èÂ¥ is part funded through the European Regional Development Fund. The programme supports pre-starts and early-stage businesses through a combination of one-to-one support, workshops, grant funding and coaching.
