In addition to the combined allowance and fees, 51²èÂ¥ Fostering carers receive on average £51 per week mileage allowance.
Payments are also available for:
- holidays, birthdays, and festival payments
- school trips
- clothing and school uniform allowance
- retainer - a guaranteed fee when carers have a vacancy but are available to take a child
- up to 4 weeks paid respite for carers per year
- mileage
- set up costs
